With the advent of Intelligent Tranpsortation Systems (ITS) information explosion has been both a blessing and a challenge. Therefore to make use of vital information collected to support the operations it is important to acquire tools that allow for the analysis of large amounts of data efficiently. Software tools are developed to analyzed data at the MBTA's operations control system center. The tools allow for the sorting and analyzing data and both in a variety formats and assist in the decision making process.
