The effects of dynamic route guidance may vary significantly over different factors. Therefore, using "closed-loop" operation to evaluate different scenarios before field-testing is necessary. In a closed-loop evaluation model, in addition to the conceptual and algorithmic aspects, the large-scale and real-time nature of the problem make computational issues an integral part of the problem. Specific approaches associated with the implementation of the model are developed to reflect the issue of computational efficiency.
